This report presents a number of different scenarios describing New Zealand’s energy future out to 2050. The focus is on how sustainable is that future.

The project was a business initiative designed to develop a better understanding of New Zealand’s future energy options.

Hale & Twomey led a team of consultants in providing the working papers as a basis for NZBCSD to develop alternative energy scenarios for New Zealand out to 2050. The scenarios provided a context to assess how New Zealand’s energy future might be made sustainable.
