Our team has many years experience in the energy sector, within New Zealand and internationally.
Director Richard Hale- Richard has extensive knowledge of the influence of international oil and gas markets on energy supply in New Zealand. Richard’s legal and commercial background brings a depth of understanding to the commercial challenges facing the energy sector, including the impact of energy efficiency and environmental policies on the energy sector, and the challenges facing major energy users around electricity supply.

Director Ian Twomey- Ian has an aptitude for analysing and interpreting the detail, and translating it into practical strategic advice. His understanding of critical business drivers results in advice that adds value to his clients’ bottom line.

Consultant Steve West- Steve applies his strong analytical skills, extensive supply experience and engineering knowledge to provide creative solutions that are also practical to implement.
- With over 15 years experience in the New Zealand petroleum industry Steve uses his understanding of the downstream petroleum environment in New Zealand, including supply chain optimisation and infrastructure investment, to provide commercially sound advice. Steve joined Hale & Twomey in February 2006.

Coordinator Anne Harbutt- Anne manages the administration of coordination services provided to crude oil producers in Taranaki, and the administration of Hale & Twomey’s pricing services (including NZFPM).
